Established in June of 2005, Climax is already a well known brand as one of Ireland's leading Club-nights and its new baby sister 'Climax with Chris Ward' will essentially bring a Climax event to the airwaves of several Irish radio stations and internet streams for 2 hours each week.
The show itself will showcase the best new Dance music spanning genres such as house, techno, trance, electro and of course Wet and Hard!
The show also features weekly gig guides, club listings, guest mixes and exclusive new tracks fresh from the studios of some of the worlds best dance music producers.
Each week the track deemed to be the biggest tune is christened the 'Club Select' - another weekly feature on the show.
We are always keen to expose as much new material as humanly possible so if you are a DJ, producer, promoter or just a dance music fan make sure you get in contact and let us know who you are.
For more information and tracklists from any of the broadcasts check out the radio page on www.climaxclubnight.net.

The story so far. DJ Chris Ward Profile.
|
- Chris has been DJing since he was eleven years old having bought his first set of decks with saved money. Following two years of endless practice, Chris was welcomed to Dublin South FM by Donna Lyons who was the drivetime presenter there. He began woking on the drivetime show doing regular guest mixes and clubbing info slots. He was the first choice programme fill in for over a year where he presented everything from the Drivetime show to the saturday afternoon country show.
He also got a stint at a dedicated techno show (normally presented by Sunil Sharpe of spindizzy records) called wave forms to which Chris says kick started his love of techno.
At this time Chris was also learning his trade as a DJ the old fashioned way by emersing himself in the 21st and wedding scene. He has dozens of 21st's, weddings, house parties and birthdays under his belt showing his wide knowledge of music and his ability to entertain any crowd.
Following a family move to Co. Carlow in 2003, Chris joined the Radio Kilkenny team where he did everything from production to engineering and filling in on programmes of all sorts and currently is part of the Hitsquad on KCLR96fm, the local radio station for the Carlow / Kilkenny area where he presents two shows a week never turning down an oppertinity to spin some chart hits on the radio.
Although his first love is dance music chris does many commercial events on radio and in nightclubs and his work has introduced him to events such as the Cidona roadshow which is Irelands premier U18 clubbing tour, the Tia Maria / Corona club tour which is a major commercial club tour, several theme nights for the Grooveyard, a promotions company based in Galway and a residency in Neros nightclub in Kilkenny alongside Today Fm's Phil Cawley.
You can also be sure to catch Chris in many of Irelands finest nightclubs and bars with his work for Clubeducate, a firmly established entertainment and promotion agency.
At the moment Chris is concentrating on his Leaving certificate exams which commence in June, but following their completion it is straight down to business with his latest venture; Climax! Climax is a nationwide clubnight set up and maintained by Chris and fellow Carlow DJ Eddie Walsh. The idea of Climax is to promote Wet and Hard as a new style of dance music accross Ireland on a first hand basis. 'We take over a nightclub for an night and show clubbers what wet and hard is all about', explains Chris, thus opening their eyes to something different and hopefully tingling that nerve within them to want Wet and Hard everytime they venture to a nightclub. We will be working with many of Irelands best venues to bring the Wet and Hard style to as many people as possible over the next few years'.
Keep an eye and an ear out for Chris and Climax in the near future as great things are promised.
